Mission Boundless was created to break the cycle and provide a critical need for young adults with the ability to reach the full potential that God has intended for them. Founded in 2018, Mission Boundless’ involvement in Uganda will provide scholarships for further education – enabling bright young adults to use the abilities and talents they have been blessed with.
Most parents/guardians haven’t even thought about college, probably because they have not received formal education themselves. (Again, you only know what you know.) The environment where education takes place also plays a huge role in the development of students. When education is promoted and rewarded, it thrives. Students who have someone cheering them on, perform better as scholars, attendance is stable, and they continue to improve each year. This is one of the reasons Mission Boundless feels so strongly about mentoring university students. We want to be their encouragement!
Along with providing scholarships for these bright young adults, Mission Boundless’ scholarship program requires a sponsored university student to be involved in local mission activities, mentor younger students and other various community activities while attending the university. (Buy-in, responsibility back to Mission Boundless). Additionally, the student will be required to report to Mission Boundless after each university term regarding their accomplishments, roadblocks, and personal reflections. All the while broadening their horizons and creating an opportunity for them to be a unique, kind, and giving adult.
In 2019 I met a young lady in Jinja Uganda that told me her lifelong dream was to become an attorney. An attorney that could help people in Uganda that had been put in jail and basically left there. There was absolutely no way for her to achieve that dream financially.
That's how Mission Boundless came about, thru a dream. A group of people gathered in the USA to assist aspiring young adults pursue their higher education goals. Since then it has been my absolute pleasure to administer scholarships thru Mission Boundless for, now, six dreamers.
I am Kirumila Simon from a family of five. I am 27 years old and a Mission Boundless student. I miraculously got the MB scholarship in 2019 through Sarah Jones when l had given up on school. Having received an MB scholarship, I joined school again to pursue a bachelor's degree in Education sciences. I graduated in early May 2023 from Kampala university as a teacher of Mathematics and Physics. The MB scholarship enabled me to achieve this and I'm so grateful for having succeeded in my career. One of my goals is coming up with an education center to offer coaching and mentorship services to the young adults in the Community. I currently count it a joy for the role of MBs Liaison in Jinja, Uganda. I thank Mission Boundless for the Support towards my career.
May God Bless you,
Kirumila Simon
